Has it got that bad that people are applying for a job as an instructor WITHOUT having an instructor rating!!!!!!
Surely the Vietnam pilots have retired by now........haven't they :D

Grade 3s are OK if they have NVFR and over 100 hours initial so that we are not bound by this silly no engine off operations
Remember the other pre-requisites of 500 hours as we do not want very junior guys with only 250 hours or so.
This is all Jet Ranger work

Sounds like a pretty negative/cheap shot nzflyer. Businesses don't plan on having to make persons redundant, but in business(if you have ever owned one), you would appreciate that in certain times and economic conditions, having to reduce staff is not something that is ever easy. How about congratulate Beckers for staying in the game, and now providing some fantastic opportunities for our Heli community. Well done Mike.. I know one of your instructors that came and worked for you a couple of years ago(and is still there), and now has some very valuable experience under his belt. Well done I say, we need more operators like you in this industry.

Have you not filled the quota yet, Mike? Or are there a number of not suitably qualified applicants?
