I have recently been made redundant :(
I have not had any luck finding work so far.

Currently living in Queensland, can relocate ANYWHERE.

Current Grade 1 Helicopter Instructor.
Current Single Engine Command Instrument Rating.

Any help or advice would be much appreciated.

Try chopperline Gold Coast. Money rubbish. But it's a job. Watch out for their base mngr. as soon as he decides your a threat you'll be rail roaded. Try get into coloundra. Mike Hayes and Jo Osbourne are great people. CP and deputy

Yep THAT Chopperline base manager at YBCG is a piece of work... Oc:=
If you were to apply, the Caloundra base would be the pick.

Coriolis, I was only trying to help the guy out, he could be working for a number of operators in QLD, just because he has an instructor rating doesn't mean he is an active instructor

No big secret.....Becker's just gave marching orders to 30 staff including 11+ pilots; hence my comment!

Why so many laid off, has the Overseas Military training came to an end? Sad if it has because Mike was paying the staff well.

Big Spinner, it seems hard now, and in a few years you'll look back at it being a good thing to have happened.

The longest I have been without a flying job after redundancy (and worse) is 3 months. Enjoy some time off, a couple of hours surfing and a couple of hours job hunting everyday will work wonders.

Ask the operators up and and down the coast for fire contacts and see if you can get a gig in aerial attack supervision. One of Australia's biggest providers of helitack is on your doorstep.
