Maybe he can moniter and review complaints made by people who buy/build a property right next door to an airport and then whinge about the noise... Oc:=

What did they think it was going to be like? Don't think there are many new airports, so existing sites have probably been there longer than most residents

When buying property in my local council area they (the council) gets the new owner to sign a declaration stating they are buying under a flight path...

Humming...love the whine of turbines, not the whine of idiots..byrd

'Sounds' like (pardon the pun) Hummingbyrd is spot on to me.......the only people who complain about noise (that makes our local paper) are people who move to town and buy a house under the flight path of the airport. The airport, as is most country towns, was built 50 years ago, however, councils allow development to encroach on the airfield. Then what happens, the airfield becomes a 'NOISE' issue, so council then pushes to close the airport and my gosh, sell the land to developers!

I am afraid to say ALP does not stand for the Australian Labour Party it = Against Landing, taking off, and having airPorts'. I wonder how these pollies think they will get to the smaller country towns on their campain trail of pork barrelling without an airstrip (airport), they can't drive on the Pacific Highway, they might get killed!.........Good luck to the new Ombudsmen, BIG job that one, and there won't be many pats on the back for any success!......... :cool_dc:

Just wonderful. For those of us who work out of Jandakot, have you noticed the frame going up directly under the Helicopter circuit? I don't reckon it will take to many low level circuits or practice autorotations for them to be on the phone whining. Honestly, what sort of retard buys land then builds directly under a training circuit area?
