Good positive story. TIF in a twin, gets the attention.

A bit of good publicity is always a good thing. Those BKs must hoot along if 30 degrees AOB is rate one!

If my maths is correct, 230kts for a rate one turn of 30 degrees. That's one helluva a BK!!!

There mustnt be too many people left in NZ if they are the presenters for the breakfast show!!
Talk about dumbing down the public, I thought it was for a childrens show.

You guys are pretty tough... He said "about a rate one turn". What's 5 or 6 degrees between friends? And a rescue operation that survives without Government finding needs a little bit of profile so methinks this was a pretty good effort, sure to appeal to their breakfast audience more than a new vacuum cleaner system or a fancy vegetable peeler...

Re the AOB and rate of turns...all in jest muppet
Like most, I think the government should be providing far more funding across the board for this essential service whether it be in Australia or across the ditch.
If your local ground ambulance or police unit was funded in the same way that your average EMS/SAR organisation was (raffles, bingo, selling bears, shirts etc...we'd all be up in arms. Such vital services as these should not, in this day and age, be still largely community funded.

Hey FF, is that a bit like a local council having to provide funds for a police helicopter to prove a need because the State wouldn't cough up the cash?
