Pilot maintenance

may a pilot with no maintenance training remove the nav light cover on an r44 to replace a lamp that's gone u/s? know about schedule 8 but wasn't sure if this only applies to maintenance that doesn't require a screw driver etc...

You will find most of the maintenance listed requires some sort of tooling and there is special mention of certain tools to be calibrated to ensure accuracy if such tools are required.
If your a student pilot its a no go, otherwise id go ahead and change your globe. :D
