CANS OF WORMS

Postby JONNOS » Fri Feb 22 2013, 11:46

Here's a couple of cans of worms....

How old is too old to begin for a CPLH???. :shock: :)

How many hours could a pilot expect to fly in a mustering season (lets assume it's duration is 6 months max) :) :?

....90 views so far.. anyone willing to have a stab in the dark slappers??

1. Never to old to learn to fly, if you pass a medical.

2. Depends how good you are, could be 100 hrs or 1000hrs, how long is a piece of string.

So how old are you ??

Doubt anyone would hire a very old inexperienced mustering pilot.....tis a young mans game unless you are already old with 20k hours.

Presume you seek employment with a busy mustering outfit seeing as asking about max hours and not a private property or smaller op.

But it is limited to 900 hours I think, or was.....but just put your dogs name in for a few hours here and there....mine flew a few.

Its been a while since I was mustering but the new F&D rules came in a year or so before I left (2003) and it went something like this;

1200 hours per year providing you had 42 consecutive days off at some point (usually end of season)
2 days off in 16 day period
cant quite recall the weekly/monthly mins.......

Here is the standard industry exemption for mustering.
