Chopperline

Postby Pegasus6au » Wed Dec 6 2017, 02:48

I'm hearing Chopperline staff have been sacked by email.
Not sure how true, but sad day if it is....

Is that part of Airways Aviation?

It would be hard competition down there, with 6 or 7 training schools within a 200klm area. The Sydney region would have almost twice the population and less flying schools within the same area.
Bad news,I hope all the redundant staff can find suitable jobs directly.

A sad end to an era. :(

Back in the day, “the air was black with Helicopters”, to use the phrase of a long term Chopperline CFI.

All good things must come to an end.

It was a top school.

Trained there over 20 years ago and also worked as an instructor there.

I wonder how this affects airways aviation.

Sad to se any school fold up. Bit ordinary to sack everybody by email. That's one cold bastard right there.

Chopperline closing down?

Are the previous posts "good and reasonably accurate rumours?" Or just a guess?

Any further updates? Seems odd past news when there is a surge of training in SE Qld.

Merry Xmas to all - maybe a better year coming up, according to latest Rotorcraft Asia-Pacific e-news?

We need some happier news after somewhat long time of a low opportunities.

More than rumors I believe. (Can’t comment on the “sack by text” part)
For confirmation, ring them up and ask when you can start your Rotory Wing training in YCDR.

It seems Chopperline has gone for good and maybe their scenic operation. So what happens to the Caloundra buildings? Expansion of the airline school? Called the other day as suggested. Just an answering machine. Any ideas ? Or guesses?? Good beaches and reasonable eating places by the water. But a bugger of a drive to Brisbane - traffic!!!
