Sadly I have just heard of the passing away of pilot Geoff Kitto. He was 71, and only recently retired from aviation.
He began flying as a commercial pilot at the age of 17 if I remember correctly.
Those involved in the Ag industry in NZ will certainly know of him. Geoff gave me my first job in the industry as a loader driver many years ago.
There is a service for him on Tuesday 29th May, at the Balclutha Memorial hall, Balclutha, at 12.30.

Sad to hear. Top man Mr Kitto, always enjoyed his check ride's. Thoughts to his family.

A good man, many a good yarn enjoyed. Principled and ready to join with others to stamp out crap within the NZ aviation industry. Thoughts with Andy and family. Fondly remembered you are, Geoff... RIP.
