Re: Not again....
Seems tranny problems are plaguing this design and it's derivatives...

When ever a family member asks what would I do when something goes wrong and I say "autorotation", I think of things like this!

That's not a fun watch, and even awful to think that another Puma derivative has thrown a rotor head again. From the thread on the dark side it appears to be from a different problem this time.

Re: Not again....
For those who remain on THIS side, it appears that a blade sleeve let go, and the rest of the head, through massive imbalance, departed the scene. Not the gearbox problem previously seen.

How much if any is taken from the 332/225 though?

Re: Not again....
It appears so Eric from photos I’ve seen.
However from early reports the Surion fleet (this particular military deriviant) has only returned to service after the Norwegian 225 accident.
Bigglesbutler, Eurocopter apparently provided design assistance including the transmission, blades and running gear
RIP

Very sad to see people loose their lives regardeless of the 332/225 connection. The 225 is a dead dodo in the civilian world now so it will be interesting to see who comes out with a competitor to the 92, lets hope for no further issues on the 92.

deriviant is not a word. Maybe you meant variant or derivative or version in English.

what that really necessary? people have died. Condolences to the family and friends of the pilots and crew.
That's a terrible thing to see as a pilot... the mast and rotor head should not ever fail under those conditions.
