Dragonfly, understand but we always want more. It is 2pm here and already up to 6.5 for the day with just under 3 on a 120ft long line. But would jump at the chance to get in the air again. Especially with the line, that is a fun thing to perfect. 8)

Did you ever consider bush flying in Africa?
There are some countries like Botswana and Namibia, where a low houred pilot (2-300 TT) can get a flying job and quickly boost the logbook to 1000 hours. There is a guide to everything you always wanted to know about scoring that first pilot job in Namibia or Maun, Botswana. The tips and tricks of scoring that first job in the African bush. There is a Cessna 206 or a Cessna 210 waiting for you as well. Look for the Low Time Pilots Guide to African Bush Flying (http://maunpilot.blogspot.com/2012/02/l ... -bush.html)

But does the book explain who you have to bribe to get a work permit?

Alternatively, invest your money in the other book about bush pilots:

I've heard of a few blokes who got their licence here, couldn't get a job, disappeared overseas and came back with plenty of hours.
None of it can be checked, most, if not all NOT flown, just outright lies.
You can tell if a pilot has a 1000 hours the minute he tries to start the helicopter and lift off.............
Hand in Pants, I'm thinking, my god, that IS huge!!!!!!!!
