Re: Pigs and Fish
Don't know how long a pig's memory is, but there are a few in the Macquarie Swamps carrying several .38 special wadcutters in their backsides, and they might want to have a chat with the person who put them there many years ago.

Unless you were actually standing on the pig with a 38 special using wad cutters unless the loads were jacked up and even then I don't think you have too much to worry about
But thats only my opinion

One up the backside to make it turn towards me, 4 more into the sides to put enough holes into it to let in the water and make it sink.
Kept one in the chamber, just in case the engine failed and the porker came after me.

No matter which way you look at it shooting pigs out of a helicopter is the best fun and quite challenging
Also very benificial to the landowner. Very destructive animal that one

Do you have to be endorsed to carry a shooter and does the shooter have to be trained?

Re: Pigs and Fish
You need an AOC endorsed for carriage and discharge of firearms from the air. This will specify the requirements of the pilot and the shooter, nothing about the shootees.

Eric is correct re commercial ops
Generally the local private landowner with their own machine makes their own arrangements as they can be a huge problem particularly in the channel country especially when the flood waters are coming down
Was lucky enough to experience that before I joined the ranks as a law abiding professional .Still fun but very regulated as it should be
