Working from nothing to something

Hi guys, currently doing my ppl as i enjoy flying obviously.
I have considered possibly taking on a cpl and trying to make a career out of it as it would be a hobby not a job.
What other endorsements or certificates can you get after completeing your cpl to futher improve your skills and knowledge, also better your chances of gaining work?
I am currently spending time with a friend who owns a very small scale 1 pilot 1 machine infrastructure, their i am helping with pre flight checks, fueling and general ground work just to learn and familiarize myself.
Any advice is good advice.
