Hi all,
I was halfway through my CPL when I needed to take a break for medical and then financial reasons. I'm now all sorted on both fronts and would like to return to just complete my PPL. I currently have 50hrs in the book with most of it in an R22, and a teeny bit in R44.
Can anyone please make recommendations for the Sunshine Coast / Brisbane North area? I've received recommendations for Aeropower (Redcliffe) and saw the Airwork thread with some solid recommendations and some censored negatives. I also have a lot of good experiences with v2 in the past but fear it's a bit too far away from me this time. I've really appreciated my instructors exposing me to emergency scenarios and have always wanted to practice until I have something perfect, so a school that likes that focus would suit me best.
Anyone able to make any recommendations for nearby schools?
Cheers

Helitec and BlueTongue are also Sunshine Coast based if you are looking at all options.

Go to the closest school, pay for a lesson, see how it feels.
Don’t pay up front - go to the school where you get what you want, and the whole experience suits you.

Helitec at Sunshine Coast airport will be your best bet, personalised and professional training. Blue tounge do the cowboys from out north and west and that's about your options.
Can travel to Caboolture or Redcliffe but there your dealing with the VET FEE number game, it's best to avoid in my opinion. Could travel to Brisbane or further afar but I think your best bet is HELITEC.
Options I'd go for is see who has opertunities to work within the company, or contacts that aren't faults promises. It's a hard gig to break into be prepared to work, suffer, and sell your soul for a gig.

Thanks everyone for the advice! Getting a recurring theme around Helitech and Blue Tongue, so that's good to see. I'm also happy to to Caboolture / Redcliffe if they're worth it.
It's been a while since I've trawled the forums here and I'm glad to see everyone's still living together as a bunch of mates, good to see.
