Why was the "COVID-19 and Job prospects" locked?

Postby Yakking » Sat Mar 28 2020, 04:46

Another consideration is 'aircraft parts'.

With Italy in lockdown, the Italians can't get to work (Leonardo Factory). I'm hearing from my engineers that there is going to be a real parts shortage in the next 2-3months if nothing changes.

The ramifications of this virus are astounding.

Gonsky, Great response

In regards to potential spare parts shortages, the Robinson factory has also been closed as part of the California lock downs...

Parts shortages will be one thing the potentially far bigger issues will be the FX cross, making parts much more expensive.

AUD is aleady around the EURO 55 level and will probably go lower, potentially in the 45~48 region.

Haha. I actually thought it was a pretty topical thread. It’s impacting everyone at the moment in so many different ways.

There are a few posts missing from that thread.

To answer Yakking. The posts degenerated into two groups. One for continuing as normal during the COVID 19 crisis and accepting the deaths to "save" the economy. The other group was advocating a lockdown to spare those who may die unnecessarily. That's it in a nutshell.
The next time I looked the posts were gone.
