Formation of Robbos

Formation of R44's (so i've been told) flying over the Northern suburbs of Melbourne today, heading towards YMEN..

Im told all black 44's trailed by a 22.

Is it some kind of attack??? :roll:

It was a ski safari organised by Troy Holloway from Heli-biz.
They left YMMB after a BBQ bacon and egg breakfast and lunched in YMIA (Mildura if you can't be bothered looking it up).
I had fun surveying a site for 10 helicopters (9x R44 and 1x EC120) to land at Trentham Estate Winery for lunch. I can recommend the garlic prawns... :wink:

I will post photos and a link to the ABC web site who did an article for them.
They are headed for Ayres Rock (Uluru), see other post on here,

Um, er that was a good er video. Um. ;)

Thanks though CY. The angle of the video made the Robbos look pretty close tot he trees. Was the record they were involved in at Birdsville? I thought the big meet up was going to happen at the rock???

is it just me.. or does the frame rate go really fast just on touchdown!!

looks like a really fast approach and all of a sudden its on the deck.. haha
