Hey Mr Spock!

the Huey got sold a while back, but the Soloy 47 and the 76B are still there. Ultralights too, but not the same ones you might have seen.

Eric - Who's got the Huey now? It is the best flying example of a UH1H in the world, I'd venture to say.

Mr Spock - Yes it was certainly the neatest Hubert I have ever seen or flown. I think McDermotts have it now - check up on the rego, CPO. It had a cockpit full of instruments left over from the 76s.

I have a soft spot for the Hueys - not often humans get a design so right that it prevails for so many years and remains relevant to the industry. CPO used to tally up 20 hours or less on a set of TT straps. How about the floats huh? I think it got used a fair bit during the floods that destroyed some of the putting greens, moving folks around from big Vegemite to little Vegemite and places beyond. Large sacks of money does incredibly strange things to the mind though.

Thought I might kick start this great thread off again.

Heres 2. Both within several hours drive of each other. Probably about a 40minute flight between them, depending on what your flying.
