Aviation Superannuation

G'day all,
My Super company has been giving me a lot of grief lately. Can anyone reccommend a company tailored to pilots.
I've heard talk about "The aviation industry supperannuation trust" (TAIST), is anyone in it? Would you reccommend it? What are the benefits?

Any other companies that pilots would reccommend?

I actually use my Bank.

You have different options you can choose.

Maybe not for everyone but worth a look.

I use the Aviation Super Trust (TAIST) and have never had any problems. I don't have my paperwork to look at but the life insurance that comes with it is very reasonable. I've had it now for four years so some things might have changed when I signed up. The thing I like the most is that the longest I've been on hold was about 10 seconds.

Thanks for your advice Wilco. You can get life insurance as well? Good deal. I've looked into it, but it was stupidly expensive. I didn't help my case when I admitted that I'd smoked a couple of Cubans and they put me in the smoker catergory (I don't smoke) and doubled the premium!

Yakking, therein lies the problem! Your idea of SMOKED A COUPLE OF CUBANS and our idea of same might differ widely and hence the difference in insurance. And by the way; what have you got against cubans anyhow?
