How to be qualified

I was working with a KC helicopter tour company for a year now. I'm actually planning on applying somewhere else like in an airline company but I'm not so sure if my 1 year experience is enough for me to be qualified as a pilot. What do you think? Should I try and leave or stay to gain more experience and have a better chance in the next coming years?

As a professional helicopter pilot, you should always go to the next company.

Your 1 year experience should qualify you for at least, deputy chief pilot of one of the major airlines in the states
