Delta Helicopters from Southport, Qld, was looking to be the next new beaut thing.
http://www.deltahelicopters.com.au/
A week ago its website disappeared from the 'net.
No response from emails sent.
Has anyone heard as to the fate (demise) of this once promising new machine?
Rather disappointing really.

Re: Delta Helicopters
Was asked to do the test flying heading for certification earlier this year.
I understand that one shareholder may have left/is leaving the scene - not sure what is happening now.

Re: Delta Helicopters
Thanks TC.
I hope it gets off the ground in a good way as a growth version (six seats?) could certainly give Frank's machines a serve.
I understand a Delta V8 version is in the wings. http://www.deltahawkengines.com/
Engine mass, of course, being the major impediment to a helicopter.
(Good luck to the Kiwis with the Composite Helicopter KC 518. It looks really good!)
Nothing big will happen with aviation turbo-diesels until the Yanks at Textron pick up the SMA ball and start running with it.

Nothing big changes in aviation without the Yank's monetary and political blessings.
Having acquired the rights to this late last year from the French we wait with interest, as the US interest in AVGAS starts to wain.

Another nice manoeuvre by the Chinese. Can't do it? Buy it! (Or copy/steal it)
I look forward to seeing the Delta Helicopter grace the skies over SE Qld again soon.
