QLD Flood Photos

Postby Pegs » Mon Jan 28 2013, 04:22

Just Some pics taken of the water around Chinchilla today where I am currently cooling my heels (awaiting the waters to subside).
Roads are all cut around here, and the river is set to peak today, its pretty good here, we are much better off then some folks, only low level flooding (not as bad as 2 yrs ago), lots of stock affected with nowhere to go, so far all the houses are managing to stay dry (just). Anyone else got some to share? :)

A good idea needs landing gear as well as wings to get off the ground.

Thanks Eric, didn't see that till after they were uploaded, but I can't be stuffed doing it again, photo bucket is too darn slow. Just saw some pics from a mate in town, the dominoes pizza shop and the local mechanic has about two metres of water running through, and quite a few other shops close to the river have been effected as well. The rain is easing up here this arvo so it should start receding soon.

Some more taken in town (Chinchilla) itself.

Sorry if there are any double ups, posting off iPad is a little cumbersome. ;)

I'm having a few sizing issues with the bs server,so I can't post most of them unfortunately.

Some good shots Pegs....the last couple in your first post show it as good country. I think I'm a cocky at heart.

I think the sound track reveals either a sound man or camera operator at his natural reaction to the car driver who nearly ran the coppers down.
