NSW Health Contract

Which companies are tendering for the new contracts. Did any slappers attend the recent industry briefing?

Hearsay only - CHC are putting in a decent bid again with a suite of 139s across the board.

HtH, an ex hummingbird described the contract to me as 'low profit' and 'an administrative burdon'. I left with the distinct impression that the CHC head shed would rather see there assets and staff working in the resource sector.

No doubt Westpac (Lifesaver) will be tendering, along with CHC, Careflight and Australian. The tender documents haven't been released yet but I'd be surprised if they aren't based on AW139 capabilities.

There's two seperate Westpac organisations currently in the North. Do you think Hunter will join forces with Lismore?? I understand that they want only one AOC for the entire Northern Region.

Incapacity would be a better defense in a typical contract situation, but I'm not sure ... It is an extract from the NSW Health Commission policy circular that was ...
