Thanks to you all, who have submitted their work.
It is a nice change to see that we can all work together for the better.

Congratulations to all those who have developed these spreadsheets - (I wish I had the smarts of some of you young blokes) and thanks to those who have submitted them for us to use. Without dampening your enthusiasm, however ( and don't shoot the bloody messenger here; ie me), you may be interested or even dismayed to know that CASA do not approve carte blanche use of these methods of W&B and CG calculations unless the particular system has been specifically checked and approved by an appropriate CASA delegate. It's all to do, apparently, with CAR 138 which mandates the use of the Flight Manual unless CASA otherwise approves. (I personally reckon that's a pretty long bow to draw but I'm not a lawyer, eh - I reckon the other regs which simply require you to ensure you are not outside weight and CG limits are the more applicable ones)
This may not be the CASA view everywhere but I can tell you, that at least here in southern Queensland, if you were asked on a ramp check or audit to show your CG computation and you produced such a spread sheet as your answer, irrespective of how accurate it was or even if you were to say that the figures are straight out of the Flight Manual, they will still take a dim view of it if it is not "approved" as per above.
Cheers--

Note :
The use of Excel spreadsheets are acceptable provided they meet the following:
Authorised by an approved Weight Control Authority - CAO 20.16.1 para 2
Information critical to the operation is password protected:
Acft BEW
Longitudinal and Lateral Arms etc.
The only things that should be changeable are:
Fuel loads
Pax weights etc, the things that are different for each flight.

The Weight Control Authority person will be able to give better information. It will have to be promulgated in the Ops Man that you use an electronic means of W&B including the version number.

Regards,
.

Hi,
I wrote this over the weekend from the 500D Manual.
I haven't locked the sheet down just in case you want to add the correct data from the individual load sheet.
The calculations work but please check the inputted data before use.
Any more needed?

A bit difficult to say with the limited info you give. You say the file does not show up in the folder you try and put it in. Does this mean you have downloaded it ok and then try to move it somewhere and loose it?

I suggest downloading it again but save it to somewhere like your desktop so you can find the file easily. You should be able to open it up if you follow the instructions on either of these websites

I hope this helps :D
