Anybody got a recommendation for a fly-in restaurant in the Sydney area... preferably with sea views, but open to suggestion.
Cheers

Best would no doubt be Panorama House on top of Mt Ousley (north Wollongong). If it's a private hire, most companies require a checkout first but very scenic, great meals and only 20 minutes south of Sydney inland or 40 minutes via harbour and coast!

The Cottage Point Inn is a fly in restaurant at Cottage Point on the Hawkesbury River, north of Sydney. But you will need floats and probably a paddle to get you to the jetty if you are going in a helo.
There is a float plane service ( an Otter I think) that services it. Sydney Seaplanes http://www.seaplanes.com.au/and Sydney By Seaplane http://www.sydneybyseaplane.com/both service it.

Take your cheque book with you!!

And it would appear that these services have other restaurants that they fly too aswell.
Further, Im pretty sure there are wineries in the Hunter Valley that have fly in experiences for their respective restaurants, but you would need to do your own research on those.
Here are some that BlueSky advertises that they do, but Im pretty sure you would need to make your own arrangements to fly there.

Hope this helps.

Mate the rotorheads used to have a website with lots of local sydney places that were helo friendly. Worth a look if it's still up!

very little around Sydney (NIMBY syndrome) but go a bit further afield and the choice widens.
Wollombi Pub - home of Dr Jurd's Jungle Juice
St Albans pub
Plenty in the Hunter but you need to make specific arrangements
Panorama definitely, great view.

Been to panorama plenty of times. Just be careful weather Can change on the scarp very quick. Remember one time flew in mid morn taking people in. During lunch cloud rolled in at elevation height. Went to leave and had to get over fence with rotors just touching cloud, then nosed it over the cliff to escape. Onlookers didn't know what to think, they just saw chopper drop off cliff. Pax loved it.. There are powerlines on western edge of HLS if memory serves . Be aware ! Be to speak to some one who has been there recently before blasting in.

This is where a tragic R44 accident occurred recently when the main rotor clipped trees and rolled over catching fire.
Wind may have been a factor.
Investigation still underway.
Be careful on any sort of ridge top/ scarp
