The POH on the R66 says

ADDITIONAL AIRSPEED LIMITS

65 KIAS maximum above 83% torque

I know 55-60Kts is the best rate of climb for most aircraft but that seems a little low

any thoughts?

83% is MCP

Same applies to the R44 with MCP but that speed is 100 knots

It's my understanding the tq/airspeed limitation is to avoid excessive stress on the 66 mast.

Thanks Junque

i guess a bit more grunt going through the drive train compared to a 44.

2.2 is right but there's a big difference between 65kts and 100
