Sydney HeliTours Pty Ltd is seeking applications from suitably qualified helicopter pilots for the position of Line Pilot operating from our base at Sydney Airport. We are a general charter operation with a significant focus on tourism, charter, film and photography around the Sydney basin.
The position will be full time and remuneration will be based on experience and capability at or above award wages. The position will commence May 2018.
To be considered, applicants must hold the following minimum qualifications.
- Australian CPL (H)
- Class 1 Medical
- 500 hrs PIC (H)
- R44 Rating with 100 hrs min PIC
- Current SEHFR
- Dangerous Goods Certificate
- 100% Safety Record - Nil Accidents
Desirable Attributes
• Previous tourism and or hospitality experience
• Previous Base Manager experience
• Knowledge of Sydney Airspace
• 100 hrs turbine (R66 experience a plus)
• HUET
• NVFR

Here in Aus where the website is based, and the job listed for, it is known as an HFR (helicopter flight review) SEHFR = Single Engine Helicopter Flight Review.
Dont stress to much, CASA here just love to make things more difficult than other places, as they need to justify their budget some how

Gathered it would be something along those lines , thanks mate. I’m sure someone at the amazing regulator needed to justify something to keep their job hah!

Slight thread creep however one does begin to wonder about the reduction in safety margins from the requirement to remain ahead of the constant legislative and regulatory changes across the board.
