412 Pilot - Babcock (Horn Island)

Babcock Mission Critical Services Australasia is a growing business that provides helicopter Search and Rescue, Emergency Medical Services, Air Ambulance, Passenger Transport, Marine Pilot Transfer, Surveillance and Defence Support operations across Australia.

 

An opportunity exists for a suitably experienced Multi-Engine Captain to join our Flying Operations Team at our Horn Island Base. This business critical role will support our services to the Australian Border Force and Queensland Health operations utilising three Bell 412 helicopters.

 

This position is classified as a touring position to Horn Island Base.

 

Essential Requirements:

Australian Citizenship (contract requirement)Australia Border Force Baseline Security Clearance>2,000 hours – Total Flight Time>1,500 hours – Helicopter>1,000 hours – Pilot in Command Helicopter>100 hours – Total Turbine Helicopter (ME)>100 hours – Night with NVFRInstrument Rating – Current (3x renewals)ATPLB412 Type RatingNVISCurrent HUETCurrent DG

Umm... job says HORN ISLAND.. why is it titled Cairns?

I wondered the same thing Bladepitch. I found the original advert on SEEK and the area was referred to as Cairns and Far North. I guess that’s why it was titled that way.
