They have good points but they are moving way too slowly.

You can't regulate against stupid.
No matter how many rules they create, idiots will still buy those things and do dumb s#!t.
Drink driving has been illegal for decades yet people still do it.
Another committee justifying its existence via media hysteria. Oc:=

The US had been leading the charge with the FAA rule on drones a few years ago. Unfortunately only a few days ago the rule was defeated in the Federal Appeals Court.

Registration and tracking of all drones regardless of their size.

Yep, that's going to be easy. Typical idiots in public service that have absolutely NO idea outside of their own protected little world in Can'tberra.

More committees, more useless meetings, more sub-committees, more expense, no improvement in safety.
Hand in Pants, I'm thinking, my god, that IS huge!!!!!!!!

The proverbial horse has bolted. How many tens of thousands of drones have been sold and are now being flown all over the place?

I recently had dinner on Mindle Beach in Darwin on a Thursday evening for the markets and counted no less then 10 small drones flying over and hovering on top of the large assembled crowd. One idiot had his small craft hovering a couple meters above the heads of hundreds of people around him. After 10 minutes of low flying over everyone he decided to land it amongst some children only 1-2 meters away.

Today, there are hundreds if not thousands of other brain dead idiots like this unfortunate soul who likewise display a complete lack of common sense in where and how they operate these things. How anyone or any committee can possibly catch up and appropriately attempt to regulate or control the safe usage of these things is anyone's guess.

The other Saturday I saw a little drone circling over home, I'm sure it was casing the neighbourhood.
I told the wife that next time it comes over our house ill have to engage the sling shot :)

As far as tracing drones is concerned with CA$A, good luck. The pure numbers are just to large to police.
