Apparently closed by a large group of "gentleman" pre end of lease according to local source...

Sad day. Many an SP drunk in moderation at this fine establishment....
A lot of history, and some interesting characters, have enjoyed product testing SP Breweries fine ales over the years at the "Swamp"

Mmmmm, should the initials SP and fine ale be used in the same sentence?
I believe that there is no such thing as a bad beer, just some are better than others and SP is in the "other"

What about the side of the box which says:
"Bia bilong yumi
Bia bilong PNG
Bin Winim ol intanesinol bia resis"

My boss saw the writing, and said "Beer belong yummy?? Sure does!"

And I would like to get tickets to see the international beer races.

I remember entering past the Highlander wantok with a shoty chained to his arm at the gate. Aircon & a cold bia with aviation conversation inside. You could even pull a ' night fighter ' if you were lucky !
Can't believe this entertainment is gone . . . . .
