Perhaps a bit of both, my comedy may need work by the sounds of it but the Apple platform definitely seems superior for aviation apps….otherwise you wouldn’t be asking the question.
Does the android version of OzRunways have the weight and balance section like the Apple version? It works really well.

Back to the question t's not a debate about who's does what better. It was a question about Android and is the an app for weight and balance? Simple question simple answer.

Historically when this question was asked, people pointed out that androids have always been able to run and print excel sheets. Which are available for most types. I get it's a bit more fiddly than an app with a good gui.

If your company has EFBs then they're probably using an iPad with ozrunways which can have your company's fleet pre loaded in from a backend version of the app that your operations department controls.

If you don't have EFB and are using personal device, and have an android, “RWY by ozrunways” doesn't have this, or didn't when I last looked a few years ago.
There used to be an app called “helicopter weight and ballance” that had a similar gui to ibal. That stopped being supported long long ago and the side loaded apk I don't think is compatible with anything anymore. https://helicopter-weight-balance.soft112.com/

And the last one of these I bothered with years ago was this one that you can enter your own envelopes and moments https://play.google.com/store/apps/deta ... etcentrage it did have a bug where I lost a row though so I just included my own weight in the aircraft weight and did a paper calculation to get me+helicopter arm. The apps are for reference only though, as if they can't print the sheets out, then they're not a certified/legal way of doing a w&B.

My preferred method is just to have a few pre-drawn paper weight and ballances handy for me + aircraft + examples of worst case scenarios (that are still in the acceptable range). Most aft, most fwd etc.. then these sheets can be used as reference for any passenger or cargo combination that is not as bad as they are. And the last I heard, this was an acceptable method from regulators (maybe still?). The company I fly with atm and at least 1 other had a folder that stayed with the helicopter full of different pre-drawn combinations of loadouts, you're doing your weight and ballance due-dilligance by weighing your load and referencing one of the sheets from the folder. If I'm really running an odd loadout for the day I'll use the company EFB or excel sheet.

Hey fellow pilots! I’ve been coding an app for helicopter pilots. It does weight and balance calculations, warning light quick reference and a few other useful tools. But the page I like the most (video below) shows you your MAP limits, Vne, Hover ceilings, relative wind and density altitude while flying. R22’s and AS350 / H125 are free in the app (I’ve put R44 and R66 in there as well but they cost 20$ per year).
