GoPro NVG Mount into Alpha Helmet

Just bought a GoPro NVG mount for my Alpha Eagle.. Only to find out it doesn't mount straight into the NVG recess as I planned.

Does anyone have this same mount? Is there another plate that needs to fit in for the GoPro mount to be compatible?

You’ve bought the wrong mount.

I don’t believe there actually is a mount that goes directly from alpha helmet to GoPro currently available.

Alpha sells a specific NVG adapter that’s ludicrously expensive for what is is ($110 USD from memory)

I just created my own using sheet metal, then used a heavy duty epoxy to glue a GoPro adapter to it...

The mount you bought fits the infantry/swat type tactical helmets.

As someone above mentioned if you want to make it work on your Alpha you’re going to have to get one of those stainless plates and bastardize it to make a GoPro mount attach to it.

There may be a ready made one at somewhere like Gibson Barnes

Bugger! I thought buying the genuine GoPro mount it would’ve fit perfectly! All the while not spending 4x as much :shock:

I’ve seen those ones from Pro Flight Gear. Might be the bo after all.
