A good idea needs landing gear as well as wings to get off the ground.

Allow me:
The “bulges” in the bubble for head clearance
The lack of clearance between MR and bubble bulges (where your head is!)
The TR that looks like it is a year 10 metal work class project.
The outboard hinges on the MR blades.
The fact they started making them in China, and were going to take the market by storm.
The, the, shape!

Thats it, you realise we're stuck with this thing now, you had to go and pat the bloody thing didn't you! should do the kind thing and take it out in the yard and shoot it, but no it'll hang around getting under our feet, no bloody use to anyone and whom may I ask is going to clean up after it, Helothere? after all you let the thing in here and you just know it's not house trained!! Bloody mangy strays! :D

I love the leg out the door, they say that once you learn to ride a bike you never forget! :D quite true, but he did neglect the fact that he wasn't actually on one at the time!!

Yes, the leg out the door is standard operating procedure for this model.

"In the unlikely event the aircraft should experience a developing dynamic rollover on lift off, it is desirable to extend the pilot's downhill leg (leg closest to the ground) to prevent further roll effect. If unsuccessful, collective should be raised to remove the aircraft from the ground with which contact may cause damage to the airframe."

Note to kiddies: Do not try this at home.

Wow, a Brantly "L" model!

Hard to believe, but even more hideous Oc:=

Brantly Helicopters - "As ugly as a hat full of ar$eholes"

Brantly B2BL - "As ugly as a hat full of ar$eholes, with the good ones taken out"

Sky "as ugly as a blind cobblers thumb" Pig 8) 8)

ps
That video is pretty “jaw dropping” but I think you guys have it wrong. I don’t think he’s trying to “right it” “motorbike style”. I think he’s just trying to get “purchase” with one leg, to allow him to push the pedal harder with his other leg, in the mistaken belief there’s something left as far as TR control goes....

whats your Favorite Heli

Postby helothere » Sun Feb 21 2010, 00:07

Ugly eh? Just look at those lines, that's aerodynamics meets art right there my friend. Poetry in motion. This masterpiece illustrates the eloquent and clean engineering approach adopted by the designer.

This begs the question, where can you go from here? Could it be at all possible to surpass such beauty in a machine? I think not!

Yes, regarding the one leg recovery method, you are slightly incorrect Helothere, you couldn't damage that airframe any more than the designer already has! :D

I think we all know that Helothere will be about as honest with the ballot process as good old President Mugabe is with annual elections in Zimbabwe. God help us if the 'not of sound mind' yes voters get the majority in the end.

At this stage, Sunday 2.18pm EST...its 2 yes votes vs 3 no votes. The yes voters have been identified as Helothere, and possibly his mum. :o
