Hi Guys n Gals,
I am researching for a forthcoming book on the JetRanger in Australia. Been a long time coming as I had a few 'false-starts' along the way.
I have a few gaps in the histories of individual machines and hopefully someone out there will come to the rescue.
1/. Jayrows had a 206BII VH-BLU (con.number 1930) which was mysteriously "Withdrawn From Use" on 21.06.83. Does anyone know why?
2/. Crowleys had a 206A which was reported as being damaged at a place called Weam in PNG on 25.02.74. Would anyone know the circumstances.?
And finally..
3. 206BII (c./n. 834) formerly VH-JWN with John Weymouths juggernaut at VRD , had a rego change to VH-NTZ and was last known to be operating with something called the GUMATJ Association and was reported as "destroyed/scrapped on 05.04.11." Would anyone have any dates and circumstances.??
Great site..
Cheers
Greg THOM

Re: Proposed JetRanger/LongRanger book
VH - NTZ was on line for a while with Apostles Helicopters, then went up to Nhulunbuy / Gove with Gumatj Assoc, was scrapped cause it was a piece of junk.
Give Clauss Helms a call at Gumatj, he can fill you in.
