As JAK it travelled to lots of interesting places around Australia, as well as touring Tasmania, being stuck in a blizzard in Charlotte's Pass,
Was the pilot at that time BM with an Elmer Fudd accent?

Ahh I see,if you knew BM with the Fwudd accent, do you know wher'as he gone? Opened a pushbike shop down there I ad eard, either pre or apre pushing a 206 around and just at the time it was locally legislated for pushbikers to wear helmets, reckoned he was making a killing?

That livery was first done by Terry Lee on the original VH-LEC he owned , which I believe he sold to Commercial.

VH-AAJ was built as a 206A (con.number 048) and is the former VH-BRQ being registered as such on 08.03.2005. to AUK Holdings of Gaven, QLD.
(AUK have owned/ own three 'Jetties' (048) VH-BRQ , (580) VH-BNG and (893) VH-BQR.
This machine in fact started its life in Australia in December 1975 as VH-AJJ when it was imported by Textron Australia (Bell) from the Philipines.
It had been converted to a 206B II in the Philipines ,and Textron exported it to PNG as P2-AJJ in November 1976.
It was exported from PNG to Indonesia some time later as PK-OBI.
It returned to Australia as 'BRQ in early 2005.
AUK sold it to Jeff Mc Taggart in March 2006, and Jeff re-registered it as 'AAJ in September 2008.
any further info welcome.!!

It would have been less conspicuous if they had painted big dog balls on the side of it.

This is a picture of VH-ATS I took in 1985, when it was the channel 7 chopper, taken at Mt Panorama, when the jet ranger was released from the newsroom to do the James Hardie 1000, the Bulge on the left is the camera configuration that takes up the whole rear. It would be interesting to know if there is still some red paint somewhere on the bird. The right rear had a sliding door. and the rear left was a normal hinge door.

Hoverthrust,
Yes, the insides of the access panels were still red when it was called JAK in the 90s.

No more red paint as it was completely stripped prior to painting.
