Bose a20 into flight helmet

Postby Heli E » Sat Jul 13 2019, 22:23

Hello

I am wondering if anyone knows of somewhere preferably in NZ where I can send my helmet in to have the circuitry from a Bose a20 installed.

Cheers

There’s someone who post on here who has done a few of them. His username escapes me. I’m sure he’ll chime in if he see this post though.

After using my wireless headset (Lightspeed Tango), it would be difficult to go back to wires.
The ability to hear radio transmissions and speak to the other pilot while wandering around an oil rig helipad is a huge step forward. As is no cord the rest of the time.

The Lightspeed performs wheel, but is a little large to likely fit inside a helmet shell. It is also less than stellar in the reliability stakes.

My dream is for Bose to bring a wireless headset out, and get that fitted to a helmet.

Sir SMP is the man. In Australia. For Bose conversions.

I recently fitted a Bose A20 into my Alpha Eagle 900 broad medium. It was an easy fit up but it’s not perfect and not really good enough comfort-wise.
Been in contact with Sir SMP. If you are thinking about fitting an A20 into an Alpha, you should definitely contact him.
