Pretty interesting read.
Long story short, employers can’t use a bogus contract to get out of paying redundancy and entitlements (a few caveats to that statement as it’s not a one size fits all ruling).
Additionally, employers can’t use back to back contracts and say the latest contract was the length of the entire term of employment.

What it seems to say, to an untrained Buffon at least.:
1. If you employ someone, you can’t ignore their legal rights, even by writing illegal clauses in their contracts.
2. Workers are entitled to a redundancy payout. Even fixed term contract workers, if the fixed term is cut short.
CEO’s get paid out millions when they are “finished up” before the end of their contract - after they have failed miserably at their job. - Bill Amelio
Helicopter Pilots might get enough to feed their family for a month or two while they find another position.
Or, what Havick said while I was typing.

Good on them. Would be anxious reading for a few people/owners in the industry.
