If anyone is currently selling an AOC (or is aware of anyone) please shoot me a message.
Ideally rotary with training listed but I’ll look at anything.

Re: Anyone selling an AOC?
Be careful " buying " an AOC as the Regulator will require that all replacement senior persons hold the required experience and qualifications and meet the F&P person standards. If the ownership of the parent Company changes that holds the AOC, it may well be treated as a new application ( new owners = new company ) which will include alterations to the Exposition and possibly starting from scratch.
Good luck with it.
Good luck with it.

Re: Anyone selling an AOC?
Agree - very good advice indeed.
Maybe check with CASA as to reasonable time to get AOC and costs?
Industry sources are indicating a shortage of helicopter approved CASA folks who can process and issue an AOC and do any check rides needed. (Closed borders?)
Oh - and training using VET-HELP funding sounds a good, but delays can be very lengthy.
So being forewarned is forearmed?? Said Queen Victoria. Or protects your potential investment.

Having been through this process, I can tell you firsthand, that Angrywasp is sort of, but not quite correct. I’m doubtful that CASA will view it as a new application as such because everything is already in place and has been scrutinized already, however, the new CEO, Chief Pilot and HAAMC will all need CASA interviews and provide proof of suitability for the respective roles (maybe not so much HAAMC though for proof of suitability). The new CP will also be required to conduct a proving flight in the most “complicated” aircraft operated by the company based on a scenario provided by the FOI. CASA will also need to conduct a site inspection as to the suitability of your premises for conducting operations. I think the CEO bit takes a couple of hours. The CP bit depends on the complexity of the operation but it will take a full day minimum but best to set aside 2 days (can’t get much done in government hours). We did CP and HAAMC together at the same time with an FOI and a CASA maintenance bloke. They came to us and checked out our site as well. Cost around $1800 for that. They traveled to us and used half of the first day to travel then we did the interview. Next day did the proving flight then they traveled back. Yes they charge for travel time.
If you think you want to get them to sign off anything else while they are there, then you need to organise it prior so they can add it to the bill beforehand. They won’t do other things that aren’t on their “worksheet”
The proving flight can count as a flight review if the FOI feels you’ve done enough to tick that box ie emergencies etc.
As mentioned elsewhere on the thread, getting any of this done at the moment is really f@$&in difficult as CASA are extremely understaffed in some regions. The fact that they are so understaffed means that you may get an easier time out of a proving flight as there’s a good chance the FOI won’t be familiar or have experience with your type of operation. I know of one recently that was 0.3 because the FOI was an ex offshore bloke but the operation tested was primarily ag/fire. FOI had no idea about those op’s and wx was average so flight terminated early and not attempted again later.
Hope that helps a little.
Revhead valve bouncing outta here!!
