Remember those who contributed to this industry

Postby godfather007 » Wed Aug 18 2021, 11:01

Remembering John Bean, Paul Lockyer and Gary Ticehurst.
10 years today.
Wow how time disappears as we wake up and do it all again.

Only ever met and worked with Gary, don’t know the others unfortunately.
Garry was such a good bloke and one of my many mentors from the day we met.
All I can say is, be the best you can, Pass on the wisdom to the ones who deserve it and even to those who care as the legends of our industry have done the same over the decades.
My advice is to watch the last documentary they all worked so well together to produce.
GF.
Play safe!!
There is always an option.

Well said godfather. Only met Gary but every time he say you he was happy to stop of say hi and ask how you were going. Always good for a laugh and was genuinely interested in what you had to say and to answer questions, even stupid ones. He was a gentleman of the helicopter industry to say the least. I’d like to think that a part of his attitude rubbed off on me. It was people like Gary that kept me going in the very early days.
Hand in Pants, I'm thinking, my god, that IS huge!!!!!!!!
