A friend is using the Tango and seems to like it a lot. He needs to recharge the batteries daily though.

Re: Wireless Headsets
I like the Tangos, but have sent them back twice to have the “mini USB” charging sockets replaced. The Warranty/Repair process has been A1.
Others have had even more reliability issues.
The ANR seems very susceptible to imperfect ear seal.
I would be loath to go back to “wired”.
To sum up - Love/Hate.

Ok, so you say you hat the technology is nearly there for wireless, just a few more tweaks and maybe a battery that lasts.

Re: Wireless Headsets
I've had tangos and played music through them while using them for about 6 hours and no issue with battery life.
Always charged them every night. Plus they have a cable for back up just in case you forget to charge them or battery goes flat.
Needs 100% ear seal otherwise can get a bit of thumping noise in them.
But was happy to have them.

Battery life is fine.
I’ve flown 8hrs with the headset bluetoothed to my phone without issue.
(Verbalising about one thousand checklist items!)
The reliability is slightly below par IMO. “Version 1” syndrome I expect.
The ear cups are a bit big to think of retrofitting to a helmet.
The next gen Lightspeed, or when Bose enter the wireless scene (with proper aviation headsets) will likely be spot on.
